Celebrating 25 years of diving excellence! We’ve been part of the Ramsgate community since 1999 — originally just 100 metres up the road before we outgrew our first home and moved to our current location in 2020.

Getting to Abyss Scuba Diving

From Sydney CBD (City Centre)

We're less than 20 minutes south of the CBD. Take the Eastern Distributor, continue along the Grand Parade, turn right into Ramsgate Road, then Campbell Street, then Meurants Lane, and finally left into Rocky Point Road. Look for our sign 50m down on the left.

From Sydney Airport

We're only about a 15-minute drive from Sydney Airport. Take the Princes Highway past St. George Hospital. When the road forks, keep left onto Rocky Point Road. At the large 'Giant Parking' sign next to the Giant bike shop, turn into the shared parking area used by both Abyss and Giant.

Parking Information

Look for this sign just before Abyss Scuba Diving — shared parking with Giant.

There is limited parking available behind the shop via our small driveway entrance, located at the 'Giant Parking' sign on the left-hand side of Rocky Point Road, shared with the Giant bike shop.

However, there is generally good availability of free street parking in the surrounding area, especially on Ramsgate Road and nearby side streets. We recommend arriving a few minutes early to secure a convenient spot.

By Public Transport

From Central Station, take the Illawarra Line to Kogarah (15 mins), then bus 477 or 478 to Ramsgate. The bus stops outside our shop. Visit NSW Transport Info to plan your trip.

Nearby Diving Highlights

We're just 5 minutes from our dive boat pickup at Sans Souci Park, with ample parking available at the Sans Souci fishing pier. Thanks to our location on Botany Bay, we're also around a 20-minute drive from several top shore diving sites — where you're almost guaranteed to spot Weedy Seadragons in their natural habitat. Some of Sydney’s best shore and boat dives are within easy reach!
