PADI open water courses offer ocean diving to explore Sydney’s aquatic world
After your pool training, you get to do four ocean dives as part of your PADI open-water diver course. On your four ocean dives, you are likely to see blue gropers, weedy seadragons, octopus, seahorses, giant cuttlefish, moray eels and many different kinds of nudibranchs. You will also find lots of other fish swimming around the different dive sites during these dives.
With a PADI open water course, you will get to experience Sydney’s undersea environment in a safe and fun environment. These ocean dives are an incredible way to see some of the amazing marine life that inhabits our oceans.
Is the PADI Open Water Diver Course Hard?
Learning to scuba dive is not as difficult as it may seem. The PADI licence can be completed by people of all ages, but some level of physical fitness is required. Although going below the surface of the water feels unnatural at first, with proper diver training from Abyss or PADI, any average person can do it. Furthermore, once you become a certified open-water diver, you’ll feel empowered to embark on a lifetime’s worth of diving adventures.
Before you get started with your training, you will be asked to complete a self-assessed medical declaration form. This is important because if you have any pre-existing medical conditions, seek medical advice before diving, as some conditions may prevent you from diving while others may require further clearance. It is recommended to get a dive medical clearance from a diving doctor PADI Open Water Diver Course to ensure you can dive safely.
