This is a genuine PADI Open Water Diver Certification is internationally recognized. It run mid-week with increased numbers of students to bring the course at a budget price is course. The course involves 6-8 hours of prior study (online), a day of theory in the classroom (9am-1pm on Tuesday) and two days of in-water training. The online theory must be completed prior to beginning the Tuesday’s theory. Because of the increased class size, it is important that students are comfortable in the water, can swim 200m and are fluent in English.

The Scuba Dive Online Instructor Development Course ( PADI IDC )takes place over 4 days, 3 hours per day starting at 6:00pm. Before the first session, candidates are required to sit a 2-hour theory assessment test to enable the Course Directors to determine candidates’ theoretical knowledge levels. In Sydney you will do 7 days (Saturday to Friday) which includes EFR instructor on the Thursday and follow by the PADI Instructor Exam overseen by an PADI examiner at PADI Asia Pacific head office on the weekend strait after the IDC.

The Magic Point shark dive is a double boat dive. This site has a maximum depth of 24m but can easily be done at 15m. The site is renowned for its grey nurse sharks. Additionally, weedy sea dragons can be spotted at the sand line. If the conditions are too rough for the site, we will relocate to another location. The boat will depart at the scheduled time from the Sans Souci Public Fishing Wharf off Riverside Drive. This location is easily accessible by public transport or private vehicle. Please arrive at Abyss Scuba Diving one hour before departure to collect any rental dive gear.

Heneries head is a great dive with lots of colorful sponges. Keep an eye out for red Indian fish and weedy sea dragons as well. Max depth 22m although can be done at 12m. If the conditions are too rough for the site, we will relocate to another location. The boat will depart at the scheduled time from Sans Souci Public Fishing Wharf off Riverside Drive. This location is easy to get to by public transport or you can drive yourself. Please be at Abyss Scuba Diving one hour prior to departure time to collect any gear you need.
