Cronulla was once known to support five individual dive shops, but such historically famous dive centres as Cronulla Dive Centre, Aquatic Explores, Pro Dive Cronulla and Ship Rock Dive have all closed. Today the nearest scuba dive shop to Cronulla is Abyss Scuba Diving in Ramsgate. Abyss offers regular scuba diving at the Cronulla dive sites, and their divemasters have the most experience with the Cronulla dive sites.
Cronulla has some of the most wonderful scuba diving sites and is home to many of New South Wales’s finest scuba diving opportunities. Abyss Scuba Diving is the dive shop closest to Cronulla and offers regular dives at several of these sites in Cronulla. The absolute best of these sites is certainly Oak Park in Cronulla, but they also include Bass & Flinders Point, Windy Point, Shiprock, Shark Island and Voodoo.

Oak Park is a relatively shallow dive (max 11m) but the site is massive with a large range of marine life, from cuttlefish through to schools of Old Wives. Whether you are just starting out or an experienced diver, it is a great site for everyone.
