Policies and Procedures for Abyss Scuba Diving

Welcome to Abyss Scuba Diving! We’re thrilled to have you as part of our diving family. Our commitment is to ensure your satisfaction and safety while providing you with exceptional experiences. Here’s everything you need to know about our policies and procedures:


Returns & Refund Policy

Dive Course Bookings:

Full Refund: Cancel up to 7 days before your course starts for a refund, minus training materials. Less than 7 days means no refund.
Non-Refundable Bookings: Courses booked within 7 days of the start date are non-refundable.
eLearning Courses: The cost of eLearning is non-refundable once chosen, based on PADI's pricing.
Course Commencement: No refunds once the course has started. A $100 fee ($125 for budget courses) applies if you need to reschedule after starting.
Note: A mandatory Dive Medical may be needed. Ensure it’s completed 7 days before your course. Failure to do so results in a loss of payment without refund.

Transfer/Change of Course Date:

No Fee: For changes made 7 days before the start.
Fees Apply: $100 fee within 7 days, $200 within 24 hours of the course start.
Dive Gear and Products:
Satisfaction Guaranteed: Not happy with your gear? Swap it within 30 days.
Full Refunds: Return unused gear in new condition within 30 days for a full refund.
Lifetime Customer Commitment: We’re here to help with any product issues you have.


Dive Travel and Trip Bookings:

Local Travel:

Diver Requirements: Must be at least an Open Water Certified diver. Proof needed on arrival.
Punctuality: Arrive on time to avoid forfeiting refunds or credits.
Medical Fitness: Must be fit to dive and sign a Liability Waiver.
Diving Experience: Less than 20 dives? Ensure you’ve dived in the last 12 months.

Transfer/Cancellation:

Cancellation Fee: $25 if cancelled up to 5 days before the event. No refunds with less notice.
Dive Site Changes: We may change sites for safety reasons. No refunds for non-participation.

Overseas Travel:

Non-Refundable Deposit: 20% required at booking.
No Refunds: Cancel within 60 days of the event. We recommend travel insurance.


Price-Match Policy

Abyss Scuba Diving is proud to offer a Best Price Guarantee on all gear purchases, ensuring you get the best value in Australia.

Eligible Products: Match prices on identical products available in required quantities from Australian retailers.
Proof Required: We need current advertised pricing proof. Excludes clearance items and non-stocked products.
Payment Methods: Cash or credit card only. Extra fees for ZipMoney.
Policy Exclusions: Not applicable to services like courses, trips, and servicing.
No Retroactive Matches: Price match must occur before purchase. No additional discounts on matched prices.


Delivery and Shipping

We deliver across Australia and New Zealand using Australia Post Express and various couriers. Expect delivery within 3 to 8 working days. Signature required upon delivery. Training materials can be shipped globally, with freight charged as applicable.

Your privacy is important to us. We adhere to the GDPR, ensuring your data is processed lawfully and securely. We only keep data as needed and protect it with robust measures. In case of a data breach, we will promptly assess and report as required.
