Training will ensure you’re prepared to be a safer diver
Every diver should set a goal of becoming Rescue Diver Certified as this is a critical step in maximising the safety of all divers. The rescue diver course will help you learn to prevent and manage problems in the water and become more confident in your skills as a diver. Maximising diver safety involves a trio of courses:
Improve Your Scuba Skills and Confidence Underwater
Divers describe the PADI Rescue Diver course as the “most challenging, yet most rewarding course” and for a good reason. You will learn to become a better buddy by practising problem-solving skills until they become second nature. These skills will be put to the test, both on top of the water and underneath until you can complete them confidently. With skills and training comes confidence, and that’s precisely how the Rescue Diver course will help build your confidence underwater.
Being Prepared For Any Emergency Situation
During the Open Water and Advanced Open Water course, we all learn about the possible emergencies that can arise from diving. The Rescue Diver course comes teaches builds the skills and knowledge to minimise the risk for both the diver and their buddy. The Rescue Diver course also requires Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care (CPR and First Aid) training. This training, in conjunction with your Rescue Diver training and Emergency Oxygen Providers Course, will ensure you’re prepared to be a safer diver - on top of the water or underneath.
