Bass & Flinders Cronulla is a good alternative when Oak Park is unavailable due to unfavourable conditions although it is a nice dive on most days. The dive can be done as a drift dive past the Column House to the latter on an outgoing tide.
The site is quite shallow at first, 4-5 metres, slowly descending to 7 metres as you head east. Kelp runs along the shoreline and after reaching its most southern point breaks into large sections of boulders that extend south. There's no point in heading south out on the sand, there's only sand, sand and more sand.
